Synology continues to achieve remarkable growth in Malaysia
At the Synology Solution Day 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, over 300 IT professionals gathered to delve into the company's latest solutions in data and workload protection, business productivity and video surveillance.
When it comes to network-attached storage appliances, Synology is known for its wide range of products. The Taiwanese tech company has continued to be a key player in the industry. With data growing exponentially, Synology’s latest products in data storage and management continue to drive enterprise data management efficiency.
In Southeast Asia, Synology has a rather strong presence in the region. At the Synology Solution Day 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, over 300 IT professionals gathered to delve into the company's latest solutions in data and workload protection, business productivity and video surveillance.
The flagship annual event also witnessed the introduction of Synology’s highly scalable data storage and management solutions, a dedicated backup appliance with advanced security features, flexible AI camera deployment options, and intuitive AI-powered productivity tool, all designed to empower business resilience.
According to Jason Sin, Country Manager of Malaysia at Synology, Synology has witnessed a remarkable growth in the Malaysian market over the past few years.
“Synology Solution Day is one of our flagship events where we connect with local partners, distributors, and integrated service providers to showcase next-generation hardware and solutions that we launch each year. We also address their key concerns through in-depth discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, product demonstrations, and booth tours — all of which are major activities during Synology Solution Day," said Sin, Country Manager.
Sin also highlighted that through Synology’s wide range of products, businesses of all sizes from small and medium businesses to enterprises across industries have been served.
“Notable successes in manufacturing, information technology, and education industries underscore our achievements in meeting the evolving needs of the modern business landscape,” added Sin.
Echoing his sentiments was Thachawan Chinchanakarn, Regional Sales Manager for Synology. Chinchanakarn commented that Malaysia is one of Synology’s most important emerging markets, offering tremendous potential. She also highlighted the importance of getting valuable frontline feedback from their partners and enterprise clients.
“As IT teams provide an essential foundation for businesses, our goal at Synology is to empower IT and strengthen the industry by offering efficient, transparent, and easy-to-deploy solutions,” added Chinchanakarn.
Among the solutions shown to address the growing demands of modern enterprises is Synology’s ActiveProtect series. The solution simplifies deployment and sizing challenges with a streamlined interface, enabling protection for up to 2,500 multi-server environments across multiple sites, while offering data immutability and retention policies to ensure business continuity in the event of ransomware attacks.
For high-capacity, non-disruptive data management, Synology showcased its new Scale-out Solution that supports both file and object storage and performance growth when adding additional storage servers. Synology also introduced its C2 Surveillance Station, a cloud-based video surveillance solution with edge AI and multi-layer encryption, providing secure and efficient monitoring for environments without local recording servers.
Given the increasing interest and demand for generative AI solutions, Synology also shared that its productivity tool, Office Suite, has been integrated with generative AI features designed to enhance collaboration and streamline workflows. These new capabilities aim to boost team efficiency and simplify document management, offering a smarter, more intuitive way to work across departments.
