Google Agentspace brings AI agents and AI-powered search to enterprises

With Google Agentspace, business analysts can effortlessly uncover industry trends and create compelling, data-driven presentations fueled by AI-generated insights.

Building on the capabilities of Gemini, Google Agentspace is Google Cloud’s newest tool that is expected to revolutionize GenAI for enterprises. The tool brings together Gemini’s advanced reasoning, Google-quality search, and enterprise data, regardless of where it’s hosted, allowing employees to have a more capable use of GenAI in their tasks.

In a blog post, Saurabh Tiwary, Vice President and General Manager, Cloud AI at Google Cloud explained that with Google Agentspace, business analysts can effortlessly uncover industry trends and create compelling, data-driven presentations fueled by AI-generated insights. Tiwary also highlighted several use case examples in which Google Agentspace is expected enhance employee capabilities.

“HR teams can revolutionize the employee experience with streamlined onboarding, even for complex tasks like 401k selection. Software engineers can proactively identify and resolve bugs, enabling them to build and iterate with greater efficiency, and accelerate deployment cycles. Marketers can unlock deeper performance analysis, optimize content recommendations, and fine-tune campaigns to achieve better results. And with multi-language support, all employees – no matter their region – can unlock enterprise expertise with agents,” stated Tiwary.

According to Google Cloud, Google Agentspace includes agents that bring together Gemini’s advanced reasoning, Google-quality search and enterprise data, regardless of where it’s hosted. Among the capabilities include the availability of NotebookLM Plus as a out-of-the-box agent in Agentspace. This feature offers employees the helpful features of NotebookLM such as uploading information to synthesize, uncovering insights and enjoying new ways of engaging with data, such as podcast-like audio summaries, and enhancing it with security and privacy features for work.

Apart from that, Google Agentspace also provides a single, company-branded multimodal search agent that acts as a central source of enterprise truth for the entire organization with the ability to answer complex questions, make proactive suggestions and take actions based on your company’s unique information. The tool also provides a single space for all custom expert AI agents used within a company to help employees do things like conduct better research, draft content quickly and automate repetitive tasks.

Mark Micallef, Managing Director, Southeast Asia at Google Cloud commented, “for enterprises, brilliance isn't just about individual genius – it's about the collective intelligence within an organization. But this brilliance is often hidden in silos, inaccessible to those who need it most, when they need it most. Our studies show that enterprise workers use an average of four to six tools just to ask a question and get an answer.”

With Google Agentspace, Micallef said that Google Cloud is providing enterprise workers with a team of AI agents that act as their helpful sidekicks. He said these AI agents help employees search for information, obtain insights, generate content, and take actions across enterprise systems. He added that this is all done with a single prompt, empowering employees to focus on their most impactful work and unlock new levels of productivity.

Given Google Agentspace capabilities of providing more detailed results and explanations, Google Cloud has assured that the tool is built with security at its core. As Google Agentspace is built on Google Cloud’s secure by design infrastructure, enterprises can feel secure and confident to deploy AI agents across their organizations. Google Cloud is also providing granular IT controls, including Role-based Access Control, Virtual Private Cloud service controls, and Identity and Access Management integration to ensure enterprise data remains protected and compliant at all times.
